Visit to Santa!

We made our annual visit to Santa last night.  The boys had a great time.  Alex is getting older (sniff, sniff) and can't imagine how Santa could be at the mall, then at the place we went, 45 minutes later.  Luckily Santa's magic reindeer were there to help convince.

I crafted!

I am not a crafty person.  However, I wanted to do something besides cook, clean, launder, put out fights, wipe snot-noses, etc.  So, I decided to make a little Christmas craft.  It took me hours to tape this darn thing off!  But once I realized how I wanted the spacing, it finally came together!

Wolf it Down!

Alex received his Wolf last night for scouts.  Our den has the tradition of "wolfing it down" when they receive their Wolf.  The boys have to dig their way thru a pie tin full of whipping cream to find a candy bar at the bottom - all without using their hands.  Fun times!  They had a Rocky theme going on... pitting one boy against another. Alex won. :) It all happened so fast, I didn't really get a good picture of him with cream all over his face. Oh well.

Baby Crew turned 1!

Gosh, we just love this sweet, little guy!  Hard to believe he's already a year old.  He is such a smiley, happy little baby, and puts up with a lot of rough-housing from 4 older brothers.  And despite his utter dependence on Mom (no binky, no bottle, ahh!) I've tried my best to savor this past year, knowing he's my last.  I'm feeling pretty melancholy about that, but excited, too, to finally be working my way out of baby stage.

Allergies... yuck

When Crew was about 7 months old, he started solid foods.  In a two week period, he had had 5 huge vomiting episodes.  We finally had blood work done on him to determine what was wrong.  Turns out he had a slight peanut allergy and should get further testing.  After he was tested, we were told he has a "severe" allergy to all tree nuts and peanuts.  So, we are super careful about what he gets, and he's been doing great!

Adam's Canyon

We went on a fun hike with Danny's family to Adam's Canyon.  The fall colors were gorgeous, and it was a perfect day.  We got lost (of course) and didn't make it to the large falls, but at least we got to see a small waterfall.  We'll try again!

No more binky! And other stuff...

Miles finally gave up his binky!  He was very proud of being a big boy, and had no trouble at all!

And this is a picture of the roots of my gorgeous potato vines.  We planted those for the first time this year, and they were beautiful.  I didn't think they'd really grow potatoes, however!  We didn't dare eat them...Maybe we should have tried.

Conference Sunday

This is how we watch conference... As long as there's a bowl of Starbursts for Mark to bribe the kids with.  As soon as that was gone, we not only had our usual chaos, but heightened it with sugar.  Yippee!

Money Man

Miles (who somehow got the nickname Money Man... uh, Mark?) absolutely LOVES to mow the lawn.  When Mark is out there, he follows him every step of the way.  The kid never lets up. He'll trim, mow, and blow.  If it lasts for 2 hours, he lasts for 2 hours.  Then the next day, he's asking daddy when they can do it again.

Fun Run

The boys participated in a Fun Run at school this year. They all did great, and raised $18 each for the PTA.

Mayor's Cup

Alex joined a comp soccer team this year, and is having a great time.  He has a great coach, and some talented little guys on his team.  He gets really nervous before every game, but it's getting easier and easier.

These boys won first place in the Mayor's Cup, U9, Premier division!  So proud of their hard work!

My babies

I just love having one-on-one time with these two little boys. I've never been at home with just two kids, and I absolutely love it!  I went from working full-time, to being home with 3 kids, ages 2 and under.  So, to have this time with these cuties has been such a wonderful blessing. I wish I could freeze time and have all my kids stay right where they are.  This is the perfect stage!  Just LOVE them!!

They match, and they love it!  In fact, according to them, I don't have enough matching clothes... I wonder how long that will last?

AJ's 1st Lost Tooth!

AJ lost his first tooth while we were on vacation in Oregon.  The tooth fairy came once there, and brought more when we got home!  Lucky guy!
